Jess is a trainee solicitor with experience advising on data protection and compliance requirements, specifically in relation to employee monitoring and privacy policies. She is currently working in the employment department under the supervision of Ellie.
After completing her degree, Jess spent some time in Japan and worked in the private, education and charity sectors. She has gone on to become a Certified Information Privacy Professional in European law (CIPP/E).
She is particularly interested in the evolution of working practice (e.g. working remotely, using instant messaging to communicate with colleagues) in the context of privacy law and how this impacts individuals’ data rights. Jess will be supporting on all aspects of our employment and data protection work, advising on and drafting employment and service contracts, and supporting clients with employer-employee relationship issues.
